We all had dropped eggs on toast and they served a small container with Grape Jelly. It went well with the toast and coffee. Gladys had Griddle Cakes. We enjoyed our breakfast very much and after Gassing up - checking the oil - water- battery- tires (We bought here a shield for the radiator to keep the bugs and for $1.00 think it was a good move. Albuquerque is a truly beautiful City. Wide streets - clean - and the traffic moved along nicely. Took about half an hour to get thru the City and beyond we could see the bare hills of the desert. Beyond the City the land looks desolate and still beautiful with an ever changing look in the rock formations. We pass cars and they pass us at high speed from every State in the Union the majority seem to be California Cars headed back home. The first living thing we saw for miles was a small bunch of horses looking for some shade from the sun. I have neglected to speak of the heat but it has always climbed to the 90s but not sticky. We finally moved on to a divided highway but Helen checking me up to be sure I didn't go over 60 miles.
