Finally we came to Long Beach about 6:30 and there our troubles really started. We started asking at gas stations and finally I hollered to a driver going by where Knoxville Avenue was and he pulled up ahead of us and stopped- coming back to us. He explained that his wife came from Chelsea and always waved to Mass. Cars being curious where they came from. He explained and directed and repeated it over and over so I decided to get away from him and follow his first direction and then inquire again. Which we did at a gas station and hit a man from Worcester who enthused over us and his co-worker came up finally with more specific instructions. Which took us more closely to our destination but not quite. Next gas station - final instructions and we finally found the street. They have a very simple street plan - but you must analyze it first. On the ride in we had practiced the Boston College Song "For Boston." So when we piled out of the car we started singing and they all rushed out and you never saw such a re-union in your life.
