write the log until I ran out of ink and hit the hay at 9:30.

Up again at 3 AM. showered and sat down to finish the log we will be pulling out about 4:00 and catch breakfast on the road.

Plan to go to the Grand Canyon - look around for an hour or two then come back to Williams and either put up there or at Needles

Have heard so much about crossing the Mojave Desert that I am curious about how bad it is. Time will tell. We should hit Long Beach some time Sunday.

Left Santa Anna at 19467 for the Grand Canyon. Went by the cut-off three miles beyond - turn back and rode 105 miles to the Canyon. The road was good but it was continually going up and up and up. All kinds of Curves. Old Betsy chugged and chugged her way right to the top without missing a beat even tho she did labor.
