together we left $22.31 for the night which included 50c for Ice Cubes for the Chest and Jugs. One gallon jug had plain water and the 1/2 gallon jug had 2 cans of concentrated Orange Juice which the ladies would feed me on the road. We had a good night's rest and took off at 6 am, heading for Xmas Tree Inn 14 miles away for breakfast. This is a Duncan Hines Restaurant - small but attractively set up. It is located in Santa Claus Arizona . Got there about 6:30 and they had not opened as yet. Poked around to see if we should wait or go along and the lady owners said it would be in a couple of minutes which they did. Jean had Bacon - Eggs with toast and Hot Chocolate for $1.60. I had sausage and Eggs for $1.40. Tommy had Oatmeal and Hot Chocolate for 60c. Helen had Bacon- Egg dropped Eggs on toast for 85c. Gladys had toast and Coffee and a small Coffee Roll that cost her 25c alone. Total Breakfast bill was $5.51 for the gang. Food was good - plentiful-and a nice atmosphere. Because Jean and I had a special breakfast Santa Claus sent along two order of small griddle cakes which we all polished off.
