This gives you a bare outline of Bob and Kays home and the general set-up.

With regard to the weather - right now the weather is beautiful. Every morning there is a haze - not a smog-that burns off around eleven o'clock - and the sun comes out strong with a blue sky. What they call their rainy season is from November to February and the total rainfall for the year is around twelve inches. From the middle of May to the end of November you can gamble there will be no rain. This means that the water hose are going most of the time and they pay about $11.00 every two months for water. I am sitting here writing this at 4:15 pm. Thursday and the house is cool and comfortable.

Houses are all connected to a sewerage system for their waste water but they do not have a sewerage system for rain water. This is carried off the streets thru a conduit which empties into a cement lined ditch and then goes out into the ocean. Right behind this house they are in the process of building a cement lined ditch that will be about 140 ft wide and about fifteen feet. deep. So much for the water system.
