Had Coffee in the Motel via the Power Burner. Cooked up eggs that were supposed to be soft boiled but due to the inexpertness of our cooks they came out hard boiled. At 5:00 AM drove up and filled the freezers and jugs for 50c. They are sure highway robbers. Checked the tires last night again and reduced the air again to 28 lbs. Next stop is Albuquerque. The man who filled our tanks in Santa Rosa was a one-armed Mexican but he pumped the gas and reduced the air pressure to 28 lbs. Tommy still has the bandage on his arm and when he took his shower this morning we kept the bandaged arm out of the shower stall so it wouldn't get wet. Jean has been riding with her bathing suit on and is more than comfortable. We should be in Albuquerque by 8:30. God willing. So we started off by saying the Rosary for the Poor Souls and that we might have a good trip. It is a beautiful clear day and we should make good time if the ladies will stop worrying about the tires. We did pull into Albuquerque at 8:30 and stopped for breakfast at a Dairy Maid
