planted different species of flowers and shrubs. all colorfull. They use City gas for cooking - have a large refrigerator- washing machine and are now planning for a gas drier for the washed clothes. In the garage the have a large deep freeze about 19.6 cubic feet - one of the largest for home use and that is a story in itself. Every six months they buy a side of beef and have it cut up - wrapped and delivered frozen when they immediately put it in the deep freeze. So many pounds of roast -hamburger-steaks-everything that comes from the side of beef including the bones and suet. In addition to the beef-they usually order a couple legs of lamb- couple of turkeys - about 8 or ten chickens cut up for frying- sliced ham-bacon- enough fish to get thru 26 Fridays- some pork roasts -pork chops. Order runs around $200 which is financed thru the Bank of America and paid off monthly. Vegetables out here are very cheap-corn they buy in bulk-ten or twelve dozen fresh from the farm-strip it and parboil it for minutes-wrap it up in tinfoil and immediately in the deep freeze. It goes into the quick freeze compartment first and from there into the deep freeze
