living in Waltham and had rented their apartment - taking a place at Nantasket for the summer - when they got the California Bug and decided to take off. They sold the house in Waltham - some of Bob's buddies helped him to build a small trailer in which they packed the linens and things they would need when they got out there and on Aug. 7th 1953 we waved them off with misgivings. But they did get out here, purchased a home for $13,100 and are very happy and content. They are positive they will never return to Boston. Bob is 35 years of age and Kay is 30. Such is youth and courage. I should have mentioned that each home has a two car garage and most of the families have two cars - one for the husband to take to work and the other for his wife to use for shopping. Their lot is about 6000 sq feet. All homes are closed off from the street by a wooden fence with a bricked in planter on the front. Instead of a lawn they planted ivy which eliminates grass cutting. Wooden fences separate the houses on both sides which allows privacy in the event they entertain or have barbecue supper on the side or back of the house which are planted with grass and alongside the fence are
