myself and nothing for the kids. Rather unusual. The show went thru until 2 PM and I was glad when it was over. Out and to a Counter Restaurant where the kids had Hamburgers and Milk and I a chili w/Beans and Milk. $1.05 plus 3c sales tax. Paraded back up town again looking for some luggage carrier straps for the Carrier. Picked up two to hold down the front and then to the "Pike" the amusement center where I wanted to take the boys into this Bath-O-Sphere that is supposed to go down 25 ft in a big tank. Full charge for the kids-30c each- they sealed in the door and down we went at different stages. Everybody looks out of a Porthole and you see all kinds of fishes at different levels. It was interesting and the boys should remember it. This jigger works like an Elevator with a shaft on the hydraulic principle and when the operator got the order to take it up he said "Hang on - We're going up." This tank whooshed up and out of the water and settled halfway down. The operator then eased it up and out of the water and we stepped out. Looked around a bit more - went to Lincoln Park so the boys could watch the different games - then to the Bus Stop. bought them an Ice Cream Cone - took the 4.20 Bus and got home just before 5PM. Rabbitt for supper from the Deep Freeze and this Son -of-a-Gun must have been 20 years old. Helen's magic didn't work w/the rabbit and it was extremely tough eating. Had to give up and concentrate on the vegetables and gravy. More poker after supper to the advantage of Kay and Bob. Lost about one buck
