Zion Nat'l Park.

the purpose of staying over in St. George was to get an early start for Zion National Pak but we did not get up early enough due to the failure of the Room Clerk to call us at 5:30.

After supper took a walk around town and finally wound up at the Mormon Temple of St. George which was the first temple built by the Mormons after they arrived in Utah. No visitors are permitted in the Temple - in fact it was closed - but I arrived in time to listen to a 1/2 hr lecture about the Temple-given outdoors with colored slides. The temple is quite majestic set in a beautiful garden which takes up a whole City Block. The Mormons settled here first because of the abundance of water. St. George sets in a valley with water coming in on three sides. Back to the Motel which had a swimming pool and I had promised the kids to join them but got back too late.

It was then that I discovered that I had left my Zipper Bag with all the toilet Articles in Long Beach. I was really lost without that bag but that's what happens when you don't have a clear head. So I had to
