Friday July 22nd

Nothing on the fire today. Kay came home from the Hospital about 7:45 AM Bob off to work - so to get in a little quiet around the house took the five oldest kids for a walk to the playground of the school they go to. It seemed to me to be about three miles away so as always we have to stop and shop the stores to buy something for Debby who now definitely has the mumps and content to stay in bed. We agreed after going thru the stores that we would wait until the return trip which we did. Anyway we finally go there and here all the schools are on one level - classrooms adjoining each other but each with individual entrance from the yard. I was mighty glad to sit down and rest while kids gallivanted all over  the place. Finally got them all rounded up again and we started back - repeating the whole performance until we got to the stores again. Writing Paper and a small doll for Debby. Ice Cream for everybody - with Patty Ann raising hell because she couldn't buy anything. My mistake. Finally home again and big pow wow what to have for supper. Finally decided to go out to eat - the whole bunch - and we wind up at "The Clock" where we had a snack a few days ago. Real reasonable  - food hot and
