Coming back w/Kay from shopping decided to see how our little angels were doing. This is a Large school only two years old and already they have a new addition practically up and to be ready for the fall. Located the room and found all our Angels including Bobby and Tommy sitting around low tables doing various things. - some coloring- others making doo-dabs. Talked w/the Teacher who gives me to understand that this is a full time job, as you will note by the schedule. In the summer months the teacher works five days each week from 9AM to 4:30 PM. Children are sent home for lunch and return at 1PM. Separate Coaches or Teachers for the older children and scheduled SoftBall Games are arranged with other schools. If they can get a group of 45 together they will arrange Bus Trips to the beaches or Parks and all the children pay is 15c. They bring their own lunch. This school has a very large playground area - divided for various sports. I was very much impressed with the attention the City devotes to children.

Back home - Kids thru w/lunch and going back to Playground. Girls getting ready to take off on a shopping expedition. I am elected to stay home to take care of Debby (now sleeping ) and wash the dishes. Strict instructions on when to start potatoes and cauliflower going. Fried Rabbit for supper which has been partially pot roasted and will then be baked. Report on this later. Rabbit came out very good as did the Short Ribs of Beef. Cauliflower and biled Potatoes on the side.
