and that he was closing up shop. This guy acted like a typical 42nd Street Auctioneer and had a lot of gimmicks and double talk for the come-on. The ranch has a bus for the convenience of the  customers and for once it didn't cost anything to ride to the Rodeo which was near the entrance. We all sat on Circus like seats and saw the regular Rodeo stuff such as roping - singly and in pairs. Bull dogging and the like- hotter than Hades but dry and not  unbearable. Lasted couple of hours - heard 'Tonto' from the Silver bullet masked man speak welcoming words-back to the car-back to the picnic area where we finished the lunch and then took off for home. To me the only thing good about this place was the setting. A valley in the mountains surrounded by steep rocky cliffs - extremely beautiful and this little man make lake at the bottom. We said Good Buy to Corriganville and if we don't see it again it will be all right with me. Got home about 9PM - kids to bed-all cranky and started planning how to get the corn ready for the deep freeze. Back into old clothes and Gladys - I and Bob started shucking the corn. Meanwhile Kay had a couple of big pots on the gas Stove and started tearing up Aluminum Foil for individual wrapping. Corn in boiling Water for about thirteen minutes then into ice cold water - on a dish towel for drying- then wrapped warm into the tinfoil. Then 6 of these were placed in a plastic bag and they were ready. Corn looked good. some Borers-but not too much loss. The whole job took one hour and we were tired enough to go to bed.
