We were very sorry to leave Yellowstone Park. There were so many things to see and so little time that we could only give most points of interest a cursory glance.
I have outlined in red crayon the route we followed thru Yellowstone so you will notice that there were many places that we didn't touch. On the way out amongst all the interesting things were the Dragons Mouth Spring and the Mud Volcano. Visualize if you can this pool of water - rushing and making a terrific roar all the time. It rushed out from the side of the wall and disappeared into some channel under ground. All of these geysers and Mud Volcanoes emit a sulphurous smell that stinks - evidently caused by the chemicals in the ground. The Mud Volcano was another pool of just plain white-gray mud that boiled continuously. This was not hot but the boiling was caused by gasses released from below. There were dozens of geysers sprouting to various heights but none that would go as high as Old Faithful.
We came around to the place called Fishers Bridge and that is what it actually was. There must have been 150 men-women and children fishing
